Remember when scary stories were actually scary? When innocent girls in Red Hoods couldn't take a hamper to their Granmas house without some skanky Wolf trying to eat them? When an innocent stroll in the woods with your stepmother could lead to being imprisoned in some mad bints confectionary based cottage? 

Or how about those legendary and mythical beasts who always seem to dwell in the deepest darkest woods. Trolls, Goblins, Ogres, Werewolves, Giants, Dragons!!! And don't forget the knight in shining armour or Prince Charming trying to rescue a beautiful Princess from her Evil Wicked Stepmother or messed up Wizard. 

On the bright side there's usually Faeries, Elves, Dwarves, talking Frogs who are nicer than the day is long... Or are they?

This year for Halloween we're transforming The Artful Dodger into a Fantasy Forest of Fear.

On Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd of November transport yourself to a truly terrifying place inhabited by all those childhood horrors... and Heroes!

Please, take a stroll through our Forest of Fear, just don't go in alone... You never know what you'll come out as...

Tea, Toast and Tunes with Jonny Gill

Every first Thursday of the month the amazingly talented Mr Jonny Gill hosts an Open Mic night here at The Artful Dodger. Playing original tracks from his totally awesome album "Thieves, Ghosts and Giants" and other compositions including "Shitting man" plus classic cover songs we all know and love.

There's Tea (lots of Tea) and Free Toast available also home made Iced Tea made fresh on the day.

It's Free Entry and starts about 8ish and goes on til lateish... 

Come along and have a go yourself if you're so inclined, we always like to see and hear some new talent.

Dodger's 7th Birthday Party

7 Years on and we're still going strong. This year we're going with a Movies costume theme. Anything goes from superheroes & villains to scifi icons and animated legends or simply suit up for that Oscar's feel. Dress up and you'll get a prize with "Olivers" being handed out for Best Performances in different categories. Games and entertainment all night long. so come down and help us celebrate another awesome year at The Artful Dodger Sunday 12th of August 19:00 til 02:00

SUMMERSLAM 2012

Summerslam 2012

Summer may look like it's never coming but we can

 guarantee you at least one HOT NIGHT! August 19th is the 

date for the 25th annual SUMMERSLAM PPV from WWE. It is 

gonna be blazing hot and we're gonna be showing all the 

action LIVE on our BIG SCREEN.

We will be kicking things off from 8pm with a selection of the 

best matches from the first 5 SUMMERSLAM PPV's being 

shown on our BIG SCREEN and a BBQ followed by all the 

action from this years event.

Tickets are £3 in advance £5 on the night. No entry after 

midnight unless by prior arrangement.

There will be a limited number of FREE places up for grabs 

soon.

 rockin around the clock from 9pm. 

There’s no dress code but feel free to make an effort 

   dreamboats and petticoats, dolly dot dresses, 

its a zoot suit riot!

Apologies to all for the lack of updates since Christmas time, we had a lot of clink on the stuff expander... and the plug fell in some Tizer! But I jest, how are you my luvverly peeps? Hopefully you're not still on diets and other ridiculous resolutions that stop you enjoying yourself. Mt resolution to party as much as possible has been slightly hampered by the weather lately but some of you have bared your teeth and gritted the street to get here so thank you all.

Coming up in the next few months we have

St Patrick's Day
Saturday the 17th March is the date we all don silly hats, drink copious amounts of the Black Stuff while swearing blind that somewhere in our ancestry there is an Irish relation! This year as it's a Saturday we're gonna have a full on Party with loads of Booze and loads of Rock n Roll with a smattering of the Dubliner's, The pogues, The Corr's... but no feckin' Westlife. There'll be numerous Drink Deals and hopefully a sea of pleasantly stupid felt hats sporting ludicrous suggestions like "Kiss me, I'm Shitfaced" and "It's all about the Craic" or something like that.

Wrestlemania 28
yup, it's that time of year again. Ridiculously pumped up men tights battling it out for eternal glory in a square ring, or a steel cage, or up ladders! who knows what kinda craziness will happen this year as the greatest spectacle in sports entertainment is shown LIVE here on our BIG SCREEN on Sunday April 1st, honestly, no fooling.
